Project Details
The transformation of the Tivaouane Grand Mosque is seen as an important step towards preserving Senegal’s Islamic heritage and passing it on to future generations. It continues to meet the needs of the Muslim community in the region by providing a modern and spacious place for worship and education.
Following the renovations, the mosque's surface area was increased to 24 thousand square meters and its worship capacity was increased to 39 thousand people. A large courtyard of 12,830 square meters was added, 10,000 square meters of which was allocated for worship. In addition, modern cleaning facilities and other infrastructure works were built, turning the mosque into both a functional and spiritual center.
